This song is one of those ones that probably should have been recorded and released years ago. It has lyrics about being 23 - as I'm writing this I'm 27. But really, it took me a year to even name the thing, so this checks out.
I am so stoked my aversion to recording put me off releasing anything for so long though, because things lined up just enough for everybody's favourite sausage roll bandit Jude Joseph to need a guinea pig to try recording in his audio engineering class.
What followed was the most fun time I've ever had recording. We bounced ideas off each other so well, we breathed new life into this song, and awoke my long dormant passion for making music in the first place. I got to play synths! Everyone should get to fuck around with synths.

Three people I love immensely contributed to this track - Jude was an absolute force to be reckoned with, coming up with ideas and helping my own come to fruition. Joel laid down a fuckin excellent bassline on super short notice from across the bass strait. Kim, Joel, and Jude all gave their voices for the end of the song.
It means so much to me to have all of you solidified in this recording. Thank you. I love you.
Maybe a little awkwardly after that, I've never actually met Sam, who laid down the drums for this having never heard the song before, but I gotta give you the biggest thank you as well. This wouldn't have happened without ya.
